Prospect Station is one of the main locations in The Cycle: Frontier. It acts as a hub in between drops, where players can see each other, interact, and prepare their gear before dropping back onto the planet. There are many separate areas for crafting, purchasing, selling, upgrading, and accepting missions and campaigns.
These areas include the Player Quarters, the ICA, Korolev, and Osiris headquarters, the Lucky Leafman Bar, the Quick Shop, the Forge, and the Drop Console.
Interactive Locations
Quick Shop
The Quick Shop, also known as Stockpile, is where prospectors can buy all sorts of common items. These range from the cheapest item priced at 90 K-Marks, a Weak Stim, all the way to the most expensive item, the C-32 Bolt Action which costs 6800 K-Marks. The utilities, weapons, ammo, armor, consumables, tools and attachments that can be bought here are useful for a beginning prospector and an experienced one. The weapons that can be bought here are manufactured by a faction called Co-TEC. Co-TEC has no HQ in the station, and no quests for them can be done.
The shop is manned by Henri Maybach, an ICA employee, which means that this shop is part of basic station functions, as ICA takes care of those. Many pieces of gear and weapons hang on the wall behind him. Finally, on an inaccessible door all the way in the back hangs a poster stating 'GENERAL STRIKE'.
Korolev
Korolev is one of three Factions that a prospector can work for. They specialise in heavy machinery and big bullets. Inside of the building, there are two places that can be interacted with. The first is Vadim Tanayev, who is the Head of Operations for Korolev on Fortuna III. The second location that can be interacted with is the Korolev Armory.
The outside of the building is made of concrete and metal, and two Korolev Paladins are stationed outside. Above the entrance is a large neon orange sign stating 'KOROLEV'.
Inside is Vadim Tanayev sitting behind a large desk with several office equipment nearby. At the back of the room are two large statues depicting Korolev workers and progress. The back wall of the building is a massive window, th rough which Fortuna III can be seen. Part of Prospect Station can be seen from here as well, including a Laser Drill , which is the exact same platform as players can call down using an Laser Drill Beacon.
Vadim Tanayev
The Korolev Campaigns can be found with him. A prospector can see its progress with a specific campaign mission, and the campaign overall. The campaigns generally include visiting Korolev structures on Fortuna III, killing creatures and collecting industrial items such as Derelict Explosives.
Furthermore, the Korolev jobs can be found in the second tab where a prospector can sign up for a job, complete one, or view their progress. The fire job slot unlocks after Korolev Faction Level 3 has been reached. The second unlocks at level 6, and the third and final slot unlocks when level 12 is reached.
Korolev Armory
Korolev sells their unique items at the Korolev Armory. They also have a number of items that can also be bought at any of the other shops, including the Quick Shop. Prospectors can also sell their items to Korolev at the second tab. Upon doing so the item is removed from their stash and they gain a number of K-Marks and Reputation, depending on the item sold.
ICA
The ICA, which stands for Independent Civilian Advisory primarily focuses on keeping everyone on the station alive. They provide the life support and basic functions for the station. For example, the Quick Shop is stationed by an ICA employee. Inside of the building there are two locations that can be interacted with. The first location is Marie Gilbert-Ravel, a woman sitting behind her desk. ICA campaigns and jobs can be found with her. The second location is the ICA Armory, where prospectors can buy ICA gear.
This location features a spinning bright neon blue sign above the entrance with 'ICA' on it. Inside Marie Gilbert-Ravel is sitting behind a desk with a computer screen next to her. To the right of her is the Quick Shop. At the back of the building are several ICA workers sitting behind more monitors. To the left of them is some cosmetic storage of materials found on Fortuna III. Two ICA workers are chatting next to it.
Marie Gilbert-Ravel
Marie Gilbert-Ravel is the Chief Procurement Officer for the ICA. The ICA campaigns can be found with her. A prospector can see its progress with a specific campaign mission, and the campaign overall. The campaigns generally include visiting charging up Data Drives on Fortuna III, killing creatures and collecting items such as Azure Tree Bark.
Furthermore, the ICA jobs can be found in the second tab where a prospector can sign up for a job, complete one, or view their progress. The fire job slot unlocks after ICA Faction Level 3 has been reached. The second unlocks at level 6, and the third and final slot unlocks when level 12 is reached.
ICA Armory
ICA sells their unique items at the ICA Armory. They also have a number of items that can also be bought at any of the other shops, including the Quick Shop. Prospectors can also sell their items to ICA at the second tab. Upon doing so the item is removed from their stash and they gain a number of K-Marks and Reputation, depending on the item sold.
Osiris
Osiris is a faction which is focused on Scientific research on the surface of Fortuna III. They are owned by Blue Star LTD. a company which focuses on financially supporting small research teams, providing funding, resources and selling patents or licenses. Before the Cycle, Osiris researchers worked on the surface of Fortuna III. After the planet went wild, the surface became too dangerous. They facilities were taken over by nature and alien monsters. Now, they are happy to pay any prospector willing to gather samples, data or clear out some of their research labs. They can be found in the right wing of the station opposite to ICA. Inside their building we can find samples of various flora along with two interactable locations. First is the Osiris representative Emmanuel Sullivan, who offers prospectors jobs and campaigns. The second is the Osiris Armory where Weapons and Gear can be purchased.
The Osiris building is a high-tech futuristic dome full of greenery and plants. Outside an Osiris drone carrier is displayed. The inside is filled with soft blue lights, a glass floor and shelves containing dozens of plant specimens. Above Sullivan's futuristic chair, a small habitat with two Leafmen can be found. Leafmen can also be found on top of the Osiris building.
Emmanuel Sullivan
Emmanuel Sullivan is the Osiris CEO and lead researcher. He can be found sitting in a suspended futuristic chair, offering Jobs and campaign missions to prospectors. Prospectors can also check their campaign/job progress with Sullivan. By completing jobs or campaigns for Osiris, players unlock the option to buy various Osiris Weapons, and uniquely to Osiris, the ability to buy high-level Stims and Medkits (they can still be crafted at the Gear Printer, Osiris just offers a money-only alternative).
Osiris Armory
Osiris sells high-tech weapons, with sleek designs and tons of moving parts. They offer general items such as white gear (available for purchase at any shop) along with a selection of their own weapons and better healing items (Osiris offers a money-only alternative to crafting said healing items at the gear printer).
Lucky Leafman
The Lucky Leafman is a brightly lit bar run by Badum. It currently serves as a place for Badum to occupy, having no other functional purpose.
