The K-28 Pistol is the first available side-arm in the game, capable of delivering a properly conditioned Prospector to a safe Evac. It is also the cheapest purchasable weapon, and is available immediately from the QuickShop in the center of the Station. The K-28 Pistol runs on Light Ammo and is a semi-automatic; therefore, with a base magazine size of 12 and a base damage of 12, the user may expect upwards of 144 damage per clip, potentially fired in a minimum of 1 and a half seconds, assuming perfect aim. The pistol itself seems to be based off a standard issue M1911, or perhaps a Colt 2000 with muzzle modifications, both recognizable in the architecture. In-game, the weapon seems to be built by an unrecognized corporation, though hints are abound, pointing to an older distributor which preceded the current Factions, though this theory is unfounded as of yet. Within the wiki, the faction is listed as "Station", until more information can be found in regards to the maker of this weapon.
