In the Personal Quarters, two terminals are available: The Quarter Upgrades, and the Income Generators. Besides the terminals, the Quarters feature a bed, a couch area with TV, a kitchen, a shower and a weapons crafting table, all of which are purely cosmetic.
Quarters Upgrades
Here, players can craft different improvements. The Quarters have an overall Level. The improvements are split into three trees: Generators, Inventory and Workbench.
In order to craft an upgrade, the previous stages of the upgrade branch must be completed and a certain Quarters Level must be achieved. All upgrades cost K-Marks, Materials and take some time. Most nodes can be researched multiple times, with changing costs for each iteration.
Quarters Level
This value describes the overall level of your Quarters. In order to upgrade this, you need to research upgrades in the trees first.
Generator Upgrades
Here, the speed and capacity of the K-Mark and the Aurum Generator, as well as the Level of the Supply Crates can be increased.
Inventory Upgrades
Here, the capacity of your Stash (your Station inventory) and of your Safe Pockets can be increased.
Stash size becomes relevant when you start to accumulate lots of gear and loot during your runs to the surface.
Safe pocket capacity increases the amount of items you can guarantee to take back from the surface. Some items don't fit in your safe pockets at all until you reached a certain level here.
Workbench Upgrades
The workbench upgrades increase the speed at which the other Quarter upgrades take place.
Income Generators
The Generators accumulate different resources over time. The Supply Crate, K-Marks Generator and Aurum Generator deliver a slow but steady stream of In-Game currency and Items. Generators work independent of wether a prospector is logged in or not, but are capped at certain limits. For full efficiency, the Generators must be emptied regularly.
Supply Crate
Every 24 hours, a Supply Crate with a random collection of Weapons, Gear and Consumables can be claimed. The items available depend on the Level of your crate, which can be increased with Quarter Upgrades.
The 24h timer to the next one starts at the moment the Crate is claimed.
K-Marks Generator
This Generator produces a set amount of K-Marks every hour, until a limit is reached. The generation speed and the limit can be increased.
Aurum Generator
Like the K-Mark-Generator, this one produces currency at a fixed speed every hour up to a certain accumulation limit. Albeit at a slow rate, this gives access to the "premium" currency to all prospectors.
Insurance Package
If a prospector has insured items and died on the surface, the K-Mark payout or the salvaged gear can be claimed here after a certain amount of time, usually less than an hour.
Twitch Drops
Twitch Drops can be claimed here after linking with Twitch here. Once linked you have to watch a stream for a period of time and then claim the drop on Twitch.
