The Old Howler Data is a Mission Item used in the 
Korolev Campaign Mission Good, Honest Work Part 7.
In Good, Honest Work Part 7, the Prospector must visit the northernmost building of Jungle Camp, bring back the Old Howler Data, and kill 8 Creatures in the Jungle.

Description
A more detailed report on past Howler sighting Korolev covered. Whether or not Howler appearances were caused by Korolev mining is not confirmed, but at the time the corp certainly believed so, and went out of their way to keep all the data they collected off-network.
Story
In Good, Honest Work, Korolev is making the Prospector do all sorts of tasks. In Part 3, they must visit Science Campus and bring back the 
Howler Dossier, so it does not fall into other hands. Korolev claims this dossier is fake evidence made by a spy from 
Osiris. In Part 7, the prospector must collect the Old Howler Data to prevent it from falling into other hands, which Korolev says was fabricated by the same spy. Korolev believes, or used to believe, that their mining caused the Howler to appear, and they want to prevent this from ever going public, which is why they want to get to the evidence before anyone else does.
