Altered Gear is gear that is enhanced by Progenitor tech by using The Forge. They have additional perks that make them even more powerful.

Each perk can only be applied to certain types of equipment, as seen in the Compatibility column. The strength of the perk is completely random. The rarity of the gear does not impact the resulting strength in any way.

Update history
- Faster Healing perk can now only appear on helmets, which means it is no longer stackable. The range of possible values for the perk have returned to its original state: Minimum +10% healing speed, Maximum +30% healing speed.
- Removed the Enhanced Alien Hunter Vision perk.
- Faster Stim and Medkit use values have been reduced from 10%-30% to 4%-20%.
